But it's gypsum, very soft and easily damaged.

And then buy a case of Pink Catawba wine, stop by the CheeseHaven for some salami and cheese and head to Marblehead lighthouse to eat and drink. Fun times!

This is just a small piece of one I found. Imagine how big it would have been if it had not been crushed. It was getting heavy after trying to get a decent pic.

Not everyone can go to those places. I was merely offering another alternative that the general public has access to.

That was produced by Bowling Green State University, whom also featured my husband in a one hour radio special featuring his self produced and recorded original Native American music back in the 1990's and played his songs in their radio station's rotation for a while. What a cool school.

See link in OP: Schematic sketch of the geode and its dimensions

I think you have to wear protective gear in the Mexican place, but the Spanish guys look like they are wearing regular clothes. Both places are very cool looking!

I'm pretty sure the Mexico cave of swords is under water. So no human can go at all! We would be people stew in the hot water pretty quick. Spain does look comfy only 160' under ground.

Yes, they were going to stop the pumps that were keeping the water out of the cave and let it re-flood to prevent the crystals from deteriorating.

The Mexican place was allowed to flood again. It is doubtful that anyone alive today will ever enter it again.
