Friendly, informative, non-hostile, supportive, on-topic, welcoming. Time for a change. (Just kidding.) But seriously, it would be cool to have some competitions -- like who's got the best backyard or driveway rock, for instance, or whatever. Winner to be determined by vote of the board. Great that activity has picked up here again after a slow period...maybe this would add some interest to keep people coming around? Of course, I defer to the gods to make the final decision!

rock gods and the silence in the stone.....we try to tease the secrets out... maybe they defer to us once in a while. i live near a creek, but here in upstate woodchuckville it is all slate, granite and some plain quartz. here is photo of my house: taken in the winter (duh)...we do get a few nice monthes in the summers... my driveway rock is all boring sort of run-a-crush.....i will be posting some of the granite i am just finishing soon. cheers, kd

Hey KD...from the looks of the snowstorm in your picture, you need to sell the cars and rock 'stuff' and buy snow shovel/snow blowing machine... ;D Keep that 'white stuff' up there..
