Thanks for taking the time to do this. Easy to follow with all those pictures. I'll have to remember to add some 14 gauge to my next order and give it a try.

I like how solid those pieces look. What kind of solder do you use?

I use a 20 ga. wire solder. It comes in hard, med, and easy. I think there is an extra easy. I use hard 99 percent of the time even for multiple solders. Hard solder doesn't show joints as easy when it tarnishes because of the higer silver content, it is 75 percent silver. The easy is 65 percent silver and will show a grey line at the solder joint.
