Jamesp... Bet the government has a publication on that. We're from the government and we're here to help.. Don't take on the extra liability. How you going to ignite it? How you going to keep that area free from wood ashes? Tell them to use charcoal lighting fluid and stop being prissy.. hehehehe Maybe convince them that its more earth friendly if they are the gullible kind of customers. Your firepits totally rock. How did that telluride one work out? Telluride is just over the hill from me and we use firepits for backyard and brew pub parties. The fun of having a wood burner is the start of the fire Cliff. A few leaves, a bit of tender then sticks. But lots of high enders want a turn key start and I want to cater to them for $'s sake. Liquid paraffin is a fine starter for wood, burns slow. It's expensive though. A gas line close to a hot fire pit is a recipe for disaster. So it needs to be disconnect able. More room for error. Thanks for the advice and warning about liable. The trend of today is take liable action. Gas is a real easy way to make an accident happen. I think that Telluride operation is some kind of wellness facility. I did not hear back from them. Many send photos of their pits in use, not that one.

Your pits are awesome.. What about electric igniters like a pellet stove A phosphorus grenade should get er going or maybe a slosh of napalm.. Hope that helps .. hehehe The Telluride people are all my retail nursery customers. Just over a couple canyons. hop and a jump... Have to ask about who is doing the wellness center and invite myself over to check out your work.

"this is one of them cases where unless you can get ul listing so that your insurance will back you in the event of a claim. it probably wouldn't be worth the profit offset created by the addition of such accessory. just weld in a bung call it a secondary drain in case bottom drain is full of debris and let the customers do the redneck engineering. ps uber cool would be one full of lava rock for them city dwellers with lack of firewood." notjustoneYou are exactly right about the cost of insurance off setting the pay back. Working for nothing is what it boils down to. I do sell a gas log/gas w/glass rig. Check it out. It will burn both gas logs or the top can be removed for wood. I have not marketed it yet. But built a few for those inquiring.

I just don't want flame going back up the supply tube or pipe to the tank. Why ? James doesn't like excitement... Or losing his life's work to a shyster lawyer..
Mohs.. You're hard...on James.. grinning at both of you..

Nursery is for sale at the moment.. Riverside Gardens Google it. My current ambition is to be homeless and jobless. 5 Acres , backs up to a Colorado river. Grow 5 k hanging baskets, acre and a half of class A greenhouse, more cold frames. 4 acres of plants at the moment. Grow my own shrubs etc from cuttings. Gov. regs on selling hooter.. I consult free of charge on all types of plant growing. Have many friends that give me anything and everything... including a lot of hooter which I generally regift.. Of course I'm crazy and not too stoooped so I now and then burn some just to make sure it doesn't fall into the hands of kids. grin.. Mostly what I do for a hobby besides rocks.. is make alcohols.. Any kind you could imagine.. Yeah.. am a bad Daddy,, Crazy thing around here is that lots of old people are growing a couple plantrs because they can.. and don't have a use for their end product. I suggest.. give it to the grandkids... Oh no.. is the response.. So we're waiting for George Bush and Bill Clinton to come to town and get rid of all the excess.. hehehehe Hope your Sunday gives you a chance to charge your batteries for your busy week.. C

You can't own a business. You soon learn the business owns YOU. Yeah that's one of those a man picks a wife like an apple picks a farmer.. Hey James.. Tell them that for liability issues they need to have a professional company who sells and services pellet stoves to install it. Your company isn't qualified nor insured against doing this type of work.

Include all the parts with easy instructions. If they do final assembly it's on them.
