Yea! Finally. Here is a picture of a heart reflection of quartz. Found this in Illinois.

I was going to remark morerocks That heart shape seems to be made by something that embedded into (what looks like a limestone casing) around that rock. that is a hollowed out shape....right ? could be a fossil?

Could be mohs. I have looked at it to see if I could cut the heart out but there is a fracture there. I liked it so it just sits on a shelf for now. I always like your hearts.

I wanted to see yours but the pic isn't working. Here is a heart my hubby made probably 40 years ago. He didn't have any lapidary tools or experience yet and this little heart of Stone is what got us interested in this stuff to begin with. I think it is some kind of pink rhyolite.. I have managed to somehow hang on to it through 4 or 5 moves during the years.
