Hey guys, I saw a thread a person made about some rock show buys they made and I saw them mention this:  Is there a certain name for these agates? I figure if I know a name it'll be easier for me to find someone who has some they'd be willing to part with.  Thanks in advance. |

You can get them brown colored also. |

Neat! I've never heard of them before or seen any black colored agates during my beach combing excursions. Hopefully I can find a bit of the material online for tumbling/collection purposes. Thanks for the info! |

Central coast has a lot of rootbeer colored agates.

Very cool. Isn't a lot of the petrified wood on the Oregon beaches black as well?
