Hey guys, I saw a thread a person made about some rock show buys they made and I saw them mention this: Is there a certain name for these agates? I figure if I know a name it'll be easier for me to find someone who has some they'd be willing to part with. Thanks in advance.

You can get them brown colored also.

Neat! I've never heard of them before or seen any black colored agates during my beach combing excursions. Hopefully I can find a bit of the material online for tumbling/collection purposes. Thanks for the info!

Very cool. Isn't a lot of the petrified wood on the Oregon beaches black as well?

Very neat. New one on me too. I've seen them from Oregon beaches but never from California....Mel

Woah, amygdule, what is your strategy to picking for agates on the beach?
