We find these all over central Montana in the Bearpaw Formations...I usually collect them and give them out to the kids. My Uncle started cutting them and making earrings and etc with them... Most have a Calcite chamber in them,kind of cool........He gifted me a bag full,to play around with and some rough...

I pull those concretions apart and keep the ammos and toss the rest.

I pull those concretions apart and keep the ammos and toss the rest. I use to too....But someone showed me how to cut these and make pendants and earrings out of them.. People are buying them.... Pays for my oil for the saw...LOL
