Here is a cut mudded one,I sliced it the other day...

The best thing to do Tim,is to just cut the ammonite and go with the flow... You just never know,what those chambers will have inside...
The best way to tell,is by seeing if the ammie has a very yellow color to it,with the inner chamber area,as you look at it.. Pretty good chance it will be a great cutter.....
