I didn't stabilize it. It had a coating on it when I got it. I left it on the back, but it could probably be removed with acetone if you wanted to. I don't think it needed to be stabilized. I have cabbed 3 now. They cab real easy. Here's another 73mm long. I think it looks like an Egyptian sarcophagus.

Yeah, when I first saw the slabs that he cut, I was like- gotta get me some of these. Very unusual. I love the ancient look of them. Well, I guess they are ancient....

Mike fossilman is that species b. eliasi? You ever get up into Alberta and collect any of the purdy ammonites with the iridescent shell? Look forward to meeting your Uncle Richard. Hope he makes the trip to the show ok.

Mike fossilman is that species b. eliasi? You ever get up into Alberta and collect any of the purdy ammonites with the iridescent shell? Look forward to meeting your Uncle Richard. Hope he makes the trip to the show ok. Those would be ammoLITE. There are some found in the US, too. Not many, but some. They are the rarest gemstones on earth. Of course, I love them. I have a nice stash.
