I did some experimenting yesterday....Slicing broken Ammonites and did a few Baculites too.... This is the most unstable material,I have ever cut...Got some great material out of it though..... flic.kr/s/aHsm3DEyq8

That is the best set of preforms on the planet. Plus 1 Cretaceous !! Such a cool and unique set. Making some really cool, caveman branded jewelry? Will sell like crazy.

Got a hold of my Uncle Dick,he shared his formula to me,with his stabilizing these fossils...Yes,they have to be stabilized... I wish I would have called him yesterday...LOL Oh well,live and learn!

DIck is headed for the Denver show isn't he? Must be close to leaving. Bet he loves checking out all the rock and fossils from the other exhibitors and seeing old friends. Neat,material Mike.

I've loved them since I was a kid! Congratulations on the experimenting! Very exciting! Was going through my shop yesterday,thinking I had more ammonites that I could slice.. "BINGO" ,I found them in a bucket under other rocks....Those should last me,for a long time... Just stabilized a few yesterday,ready for slicing.... Were do you live? There usually are fossils in most states....Easy to get to and fun to collect...
