I just finished some Jasper from New Mexico. I don't know if this is the real name of the stuff. I got it from a local guy. I asked him what it was, and he said "Jasper". I asked him where it was from and he said "New Mexico". So there you have it! I also had some Crazy lace Agate, I found over at "Canyon Lake". I have been told I might get a better shine if I used Cerium Oxide instead of the Tin Oxide I used, but I needed to try it out, so thats why this batch is mixed. Here's the whole batch done- This is some of the Agate- And this is the "New Mexico Jasper"

Excellent! That jasper reminds me of "Morrisonite" from Idaho or "Royal Imperial jasper" from Mexico. It has the same egg-like patterns. Neat stuff!
I see that the quality of the shine varries from stone to stone. That titanium oxide you ordered might work better then cerium on the agates.

I also like the T-bone shaped stone with all the circles in it. You wouldn't want to sell it would you?

Here is the other side of that Jasper that has gotten such 'Meaty' feed-back. It looks nothing like the reverse side.

Ahhh. Isn't mother nature wonderful? I used to (and still do) go crazy when I saw a piece of wood with beautiful grain, and now I see that same beauty in rocks and minerals. Those stones came out really nice Banjo. Looks like you're getting the process down pat.

Well we can keep a secret around here so no need to worry Billy, especially if you send some of the rock to us, I guess you would refeer to them as "hush" rock lol
