Nice pics! I am always amazed by White Pelicans. They are so huge! Like little boats! Those are some serious crappies. Are they white crappies? You could win any tournament here with those!

Nice slabs!! Man I miss Crappies I love it! The best tasting fresh water fish in my opinion. Well, except for walleye. That's pretty damn good too

Yeah the pelicans are big. Wing spans have to be close to 5 feet or better. The lake is a haven for migratory foul. The crappies are black. Those two are right at 2 pounds each. Good stuff

Black crappies around here -- 1.5 pounds considered a good one.

Bass get thrown back😂 Ate walleye for the first time on our trip to South Dakota last year. Absolutely outstanding. Never have eaten crappie before. Now you are making me curious. Until going up north, I've never seen walleye in a fish market or restaurant in southern California. Now you have me wondering if there is a source for that fish down here. I would love to get my hands on it.

Very nice catch and good pics. When I catch fish, the fight is the best. Not the eating. Being a touranment bass fisherman, If they kept every fish they caught during practice And touranment day there would be no fish left in the lake. Fishing is number one and rocks are #2.

When I get a bad craving and just can't stand it anymore, either my parents ship me some or I buy it from moreysmarkets.com/collections/all?page=2It's a tad spendy right now though ....I recommend trying the herring too. As far as crappie go....they taste amazing. Plus they can be fun as heck to catch. There are some lakes here that have them, but I havnt been successful yet. They like cold water, so they go deeper in summer. Need a boat....

Thanks for that link, MsAli. There is nothing like walleye in my book and I miss it terribly! I got so excited when a Culvers opened up here because in the fall back home they had walleye sandwiches. No such luck here.

I think yellow perch ranks up there with walleye. Not the white perch or ocean perch found in most stores.
