We woke up to 10" of snow yesterday, March 12th. The wet, heavy, pretty snow that coats everything. It was good for a snow day at home for the kids, but melted (mostly) by late afternoon. As far as big snow goes, this is the best kind, and a chance to get the camera out for some winter wonderland photos.
Lexington, KY
And, of course, these fools loved playing in it.

And yes, they both love the snow.

Wonderful snow pictures Garage Rocker! 25 years ago today we had an honest snow of 18 inches in Chattanooga Tn. Your pictures bring back memories. Love your Aussies! We had a aussie with one blue eye, she was the best!

Growing up in Michigan, I thought I had seen bad winter storms, but that one here in Tn was crazy. Had never seen thundersnow before. Shut the city down for a full week. Power out to half the city, trees down everywhere. We were lucky, didn't loose power. But was blocked into our neighborhood for 4 days. Loved every minute of it! 20 something, newly married...went walking/hiking every day, it was heaven!

Beautiful pictures- especially the trees. Snow is beautiful, but I would rather see the pictures. I love to watch dogs play in the snow. They remind me of being a kid. In Rhode Island, we had a lot of snow and I was just the right age to have a blast.

Nice photos and dogs. Love the branch with the berries and the one with the sun.
My Husky has one blue eye and one that is 3/4 brown and 1/4 blue. Did you know that dogs with blue eyes are said to have superior intelligence?

I've had my fill of it.
I am ready for it to go away so I can start tapping trees.
Assuming that is that I heal up enough to do it.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Fell on the snow this week and have lost 3 days of work now.

Different story when you can't take a hot shower or watch Netflix. I was, however, out back at 4AM trying to knock snow off our big spruce tree, so it wouldn't snap from the weight.

I'm ready for it to go away too, so we can get to our two weeks of Spring before the humidity hits.

I'm usually done with winter before it begins. I'm a California boy transplanted to Utah. I could live without snow.
This year we've had a mild one. The past few days I've opened my office windows a bit in the afternoon. Spring is in the air & I'm loving it! Lynn

Just wait a day or two and it will be 60, then back to 30, then....
