Am sure many here have read a certain thread. Many months or years later, they wanted to go back to it and could not find it. The search feature sometimes works, sometimes not. A few here are experts at using it. Or, someone is looking for specific information that is not current, but many here know it exists.
Why not have a Sticky Thread under the General Rocks Topic with the title in this post?
That way others can assist with finding what someone else could not find.
Individual requests would need to be specific.
Just a thought.

So fernwood if I understand correctly you are proposing a stickied thread in which members can ask for help finding a specific thread if they can't find it through regular search methods? It's an interesting idea - I'll keep track of how this thread goes and if there seems to be interest in it.

Members can already ask for help finding a post.

I clicked on this post thinking you were asking for help finding something. So, I agree with Pat.

Members can already ask for help finding a post. Yep. And further, I think a newly posted thread asking for help will catch most people's attention if it's at the top of a page with all the other brand new posts. Stickies, IMHO, tend to get old and stale after awhile, and they tend to get overlooked after a period of time. I know I rarely look at them.
