james what is it you don't like about them? i notice you called them pebbles are they really small or something? i think they look great! they look like the cornflake and whitcomb carnelian that i have waiting to tumble.

Thanks! For these I used Titanium oxide for the final polish. As far as weight goes, I started off with 4 lbs. Now they probably weigh about 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. The average size is about a dime or smaller. It's not that I don't like them. They're just hard to polish. If you look close, you can see little swirls and circles. These cause variations in the consistancy of the surfaces of the stones and make them harder to polish. I like them though. They just don't have that mirror-like finish I desire. They are simular to cronflake carnelian. Just more color and smaller "flakes." They'd make wonderful jewelery! I really love the banded one too. However, It's now part of my girlfriends collection. Me, I just get the leftovers.
