Random garage sale stop resulted in this. Person selling it said the battery did not last long enough for them to work 3-4 hours non stop, so they used it a couple times, then bought a corded one. No manual or accessory kit. Manual is available online and I have over 75 accessories already. Talked them down to $20.00. Not bad. dremel

VERY NOT BAD!!! I have 5 batteries and 2 chargers. One of my typical grinding sessions can last 4 hours and run through 4 batteries.

With my restrictions now, I can only look down for 5-10 minutes at a time. But, better than nothing. When I read the manual online and tips from others it says a charging typically lasts for an hour. So your use of batteries sounds about right.

I also have a small grinding extension to fit my dremel leading to a large pen sized grinding unit... but it is hard to hold onto with my arthritic hands... so I just wield the main body instead. I like!

Very nice. With two batteries one charging and using one. You will be able to use it basically nonstop.

That should work with a carving station too, just make sure your eye protection is good.

I have found that if I start a 4 hr grinding session with 4 fresh batteries, I am typically half way through the 3rd battery before the first is charged. Batteries charge and discharge differently regardless of how many Ah are stated on the case. Dremel's stock 12VMax Lithium-ion batteries have a 1.5 Ah ratting, while Shentec makes a replacement battery rated at 3 Ah (both can be purchased at Amazon - I don't remember how much $$$, but I think the Shentec was comparable).
I use each battery until the dremel tool grinds down to parade-rest before changing it out... and have not seen any indication of battery memory taking a hit.
