Thought some might enjoy a blast from the past. These were in the box with my childhood toy Skilkraft Tumbler. The cans really look like tuna cans to me. No manufacturer on lid. No markings on cans. Grits

I had to laugh when I opened them. The course had about 1 TBS in it. The Medium was full, but opened. The Prepolish appears to be full, as does the Polish. There were also paper bags of grits in the box.

"Vintage" polishing compound could be a lot courser than today's. I suspect that some old stuff I got with a used tumbler isn't much finer than 1000. No noticeable difference on a batch of glass and obsidian between the 1000 pre-polish (from the rock shed) and the final polish with the "old stuff".

Yup. I have the new stuff as well. The pre-polish is labeled 400/600.
