How to add photographs ?

Hello!

I'm a new member and I will appreciate if someone could tell me how to add photographs / pictures to the postings.

I have some pictures of rocks/minerals that I found and maybe I could post some to see if anyone could give me an idea of what they could be.

It's odd that there doesn't seem to be a FAQ here that tells how to load pictures, but there was a thread awhile ago started by Duke and called "Need help downloading pictures" that covered this topic. It is in this members photographs section, I believe it is at the very bottom of the first page, but it might have crawled to the top of page two by now. Give that a read and see if it works for you. First step is to register (for free) with photobucket.com and load your photos into your personal photo album there. Good luck, and shout back if you need more help.

Thanks rollingtone I will try searching for that thread. I will also go to photobucket.net and see how it works.

Yes, it is quite odd that there is no FAQ in here, It will be really great to have one, or a "How to" section in wich people could voluntarily add tips and tutorials in that section and be rewarded with a special red star (example) to motivate them to contribute to it. I'm thinking on using the "How to" heading in the questions I make so that people just type "How to" in the search form and get to this type of info. I did try to get some how to's in the search and there was none available yet.

rollinstone your post just really gave me a lot of ideas about improving this board! Well what about a Rock Tumbler's Glossary section! Member will post terms and members who know the definitions will contribute with the definitions!

Oh well, this place is great just as it is, I'm sure more improvements will come with time. Another idea... An "ideas and Sugestions" section! Ha, ha, ha, I will just stop with my ideas and move on.

I just found the posting you told me about using the site's search feature. The name of the tread is:

"Need help downloading pics"

Hopefuly others new members will benefit of these as well.
