Well I am new to tumbling rocks and am on my forth tumbler already. Started with a Harbor Freight double barrel. Not good of quality IMO. One of the fan blades broke off and it ate belts up quickly. Bought a used Thumlers Tumbler A-R1 and a Thumlers Tumbler double 3lb barrle one with an entry motor in it. At any rate they would break a belt about once a week. Lined the pulleys up perfectly too. Selling the 2 Thumlers and bought a 15 lb TT model B. I like it much much better. No leaks and of course hold lots more rocks. Still I break belts about once a week. They just snap in apart. So, I believe there must be high quality belts out there that will last a lot longer. Does anyone have a recommendation where I can buy high quality belts. I thought about going to a place that sells and repairs vacuum cleaners and finding a belt that would work. Its getting to expensive to buy so many belts. Thank you for any input help.

Hi qdup1, I was having the same issue with belts and I did exactly what you mentioned in your post. I went to a vacuum cleaner and sewing machine repair shop and they fixed me up with a few much more expensive belts that were well worth the money. I sold the tumbler a few years later with 2 of the 3 belts and cannot remember ever having a problem again with busted belts.
