NRG-Thanks for the garden spider ID. I really enjoy the beauty of this spider and normally have several in the yard during the summer. We also have a great number of wrens and wonder why they are not eaten.

Victor - the wrens likely think that argiope spider tastes terrible. The coloration is a warning rather than camouflage.
