Moving to the area soon and looking for an experienced person to help plumb a grinder for water and maybe someone to cut some rough. Would compensate of course. Any one out there? ? I reached out to the local club but it may be a bad time or they're just not very active. Thanks in advance.

Hunh, wonder what happened to my first reply. Anyway I live in Atlanta but dream of Savannah. Cool parties and great fishing.

Yep, best place is the area around MsAli's link. Go to Stoney Bluff, most of Briar Creek is posted now. Best place close to Savannah is up the Savannah River to Stoney Bluff Landing. Look in dirt roads branching off Stoney Bluff Road right there at the river. It was a massive Native man mining operation about 20 miles across. Most of the float is rich in color from heat treatment by Native man or forest fires. Maybe fossils around Savannah, fossil shark's teeth on the beaches for sure. Along with many other distractions.

Excellent, will look Into. Definitely like local stuff. Have some local Pasco coral from where we are now in Florida. Local rules.

Gotta sneak around the wardens when collecting in Florida. Cat and mouse.

I live just up the road from Million Souls Mine where the Pasco Coral is found. Sad to leave the area but excited to go back to Savannah. Will check out Stoney Bluff Landing for sure. Thank you again.
