So my son was looking for a certain agate with some fairburn that he just knew had to be in the garage somewhere... So he dumped out one of the buckets on the floor. Turns out he had put the rock on a shelf... Anyway, here's the pile- you're welcome to look through it!

Oh, I can certainly relate to that, lol. I tend to put those special rocks in a "safe" place. Problem is, they seem to always be somewhere else when I go looking for them!

When finding rocks for my latest tumble I dumped 3 5 gallon pails on the dining room floor. Between the 3 pails found exactly what I was looking for. Yes, I can relate.

That was just one bucket, we really need to go through them, pick out the ones we really like... And release the others back into the wild. Sort of a catch and release program...

I really am All joking aside, the people on RTH have been some of the friendliest, most helpful people I've come across By the way, I ordered the 7" tuck point blade that jamesp posted about for my portable tile saw at home I believe he called it the rock destroyer First collecting, then tumbling, now cutting It's a slippery slope In a good way

You are planing on using that tuck point blade for grinding, aren't you? It 's not really meant to cut rocks but to shape and smooth them.
Hope you use lots of water to supress the dust.

Yes, for grinding and shaping mostly
I will, and I've heard that a mask isn't a bad idea, either

Both my mother and I do this, too. "Don't worry, I put it somewhere safe!" coming from my family translates to: "That's safe from me finding it for at least three years!"

Hahahaha,I have a slab I put away - been looking for it for over two months now!!! We're going through the bucket farm in the process of reducing our pile, finding stuff that I had no idea we even had.
