Finally after many years on my list.... A friend and I are headed to Lassen and Davis Creek... Been along time coming... Come on mid September!!! Hahaha  drooling  |

Congrats.... and remember - we LOVE pictures. Are you looking for obsid? Tela, you know he will be looking for obsidian! Mike is a Montana agate, pet wood and obsidian junquie, lol. I've never been to Davis Creek, but I have been to Lassen. Beautiful country up there, but then you are probably already spoiled, being used to OR landscapes. Bob picked up a shirt at the gift shop up there, it said "I hiked a Volcano" and had a pic of Mt Lassen on it. It was his favorite shirt for years. And the buzz words are "Pictures or it didn't happen!" I know you're good for it. Have fun, be safe and make some wonderful memories. |

Be careful when you go.
We went for obsidian, but it was the first day of hunting season (not rock hunting) --- not something we pay attention to. We don't recommend it! We turned around and left.

Be careful when you go. We went for obsidian, but it was the first day of hunting season (not rock hunting) --- not something we pay attention to. We don't recommend it! We turned around and left. Definitely not the time to wear your Xmas reindeer hat. Even with an orange or fluorescent yellow vest - some of those guys are color blind. Might be a good time to make lots of noise, though. |
