Certainly inspiring. I am hoping some creative inspiration comes to me in my sleep. I dont want to do the same thing on each of them.

Holy crap, that's a lot of points! Good on you MsAli. Inspiration will come. Even if they're similar they will all be different.
Love that last pink one. Ooh-la-la!

Now you guys need to kill me so the value of the glass will go up. The knapper guys do make a lot of jewelry out of the points. Some of them are crackerjack wrappers. Many are mesmerized by Alison's 'molten metal coatings'. That was new to them. A few inquires, "how does that lady melt brass on to the points ?" lol. That is enough points to set you free Alison. I'm sure you will do some home runs. Willie has access to lots of novaculite(a chert I believe). Some of those points are likely novaculite. It occurs in blacks grey's and that wicked milk white. Looking forward to some fine creations MsAli

Willie's strength is his notches. Sure does help to have notched styles for jewelry. Many point styles are not notched and don't have such a obvious arrowhead appeal.

Excellent job on those, MsAli! I can see why you'd want to keep that Imperial. It's purty!

Those are the coolest adornments I have ever seen for a point. You should have a hot market for those MsAli. Or a fat jewelry box that brings you contentment. I got a focal bead shape question for you guys. I will ask the question over on the glass saga thread. Basically it has to do with a rounded fat rectangle shape verses an oval shape. I can do rounded fat triangle shapes in the tumbler very well. Oval will require a bead machine and/or much more hand work.

I have a ton of jewelry now and enjoy wearing them I tried to solder last night-did not go well Need to practice that a tad I love big oval beads and they seem to be harder now to find than square

Those fellows are used to working with cherts. Not the flashiest material. But true to Native material which is important to them. If you send them fancy agate slabs many will gladly knap them for you. But the agate has to be quite glassy and knapp-able. The other problem with sending them agate slabs is that many like them heat treated so it will knap easily and many of them do not have heat treating ovens. Heat treating is fairly involved and takes a lot of time/electricity. Obsidian is one rock they do not heat treat because it is not hardly treat-able. Some super high quality pure agates like Brazilian might be knap-able w/out heat treating. You have to consult the knapper you are working with regarding the heat treatment issue.
Or you can purchase already-heat-treated slabs for them to snap. There are knapping material sites on the web.
