I can hardly wait. Yahoo! Is to be avoided. I can’t get into my Flickr account either.

You could always use that BBcode generator that I sent info about...as long as you can get the photo URL. I can get a photo URL but I can't generate a BB code from amazon because that specific link is FlickR only it seems. Crap. I was hoping it would simply work with any photo URL. Too bad. Thanks for checking.

@ jamesp Curious how many pics you have on there, James. I got the over/under at 50K. : ) I have 20,000 photos on flickr Rich. 50K !!! Man that is a lot of photos. I bought a Mac about 2012. It offered flickr as a choice on about every window.(not Photbucket) So flickr was the obvious photo hosting site for the Mac. I was an early member(maybe since 2012 ?). I do not know why I was not forced to pay for a pro account or be limited in # of photos. Probably because they allowed 1 terabyte... Over the years it appeared I should have been forced to pay for a pro account judging from some of the flickr changes over the years. I do use my flickr fire pit albums regularly in my fire pit business so they are important for my livelihood. Other important photos that I need for day to day life are stored there. Smugmug bought flickr so I do pay Smugmug like $6/month starting this year figuring they (SmugMug) was going to start to require payments. I don't want them to pull a photobucket so the monthly payments if that will help. It may be that they now limit/scrutinize new members. I have a flickr free account limited to 1 terabyte. I have used 2.4% of my free terabytes. (20,000 X 1.2M average photo size = 2.4% of a terabyte ?, I think so) I have always adjusted my camera(fineness) settings to keep my photos around 1 megabyte in size since that gives adequate definition for a lap/desk top and load quickly for the impatient world out there. flickr seems unfriendly when loading 6M photos( often times out when loading). First photos posted to flickr was October 2012:

edit - looks like hosting and direct linking work but actually getting the picture to view in the post? Tommy The only way it's going to display as a picture is if the URL they feed you has a picture extension - ie: .jpg I don't know anything about hosting on Amazon yet but we are Prime members so I'll check it out and see what I can find.

I think from my findings it isn’t really hosting it. No jpg extension. I am going to investigate adobe as well because I subscribe to their monthly products for editing and it supposedly includes website hosting and photo hosting. Will report back
