Err, this is very unusual we had to open the Zoo for a short period of time since one of our Fantasy Residents came back early. He think's he's a Bovine so we'll put him in the Bovine section of the Zoo until all the rest of the Residents return. Here he is: He is a cutie-pie and is made from Mutton-Fat Jade, measures 6"L x2.5"W x3"H, weight is 8 oz He really has a nice set of rams horns. I never really had the heart to tell him he was just a "jug," It's bad enough he thinks he is a Bovine. Cheers, johnw

I can see why he thinks he/she is a bovine! Looks like a creamer of creamy white jade.

I should have stuck to that correct description. Mea-culpa, I will change it. BUT, having said that I cannot tell the little guy he is made of MUTTON-Fat Jade and is a jug (AKA) creamer. Cheers, johnw Here is another example of Mutton-Fat Jade. This one is quite small, being 2-3/4" H x 2-1/4" W x 1-1/2" D. It weighs 4 oz. Mutton-Fat Jade generally has a brownish area somewhere, thus the Mutton-Fat term. Cheers, johnw

He is too distinctive to be put in a cupboard.

DURING our first trip to Tucson, we bought a Mutton-fat Jade hippo. He is creamy white and green! I thought the rock so pretty, I wanted to get a specimen. Vendor had all kinds of animal carvings, but I wanted one that did not have any horns or tails sticking out to break. The hippo won.

Pat: Sorry to say this but only have Lapis Hippo's with really big teeth and a delightful invisible hippo made of crystal. Can you post a picture of your Hippo? Please? Cheers, johnw

Awesome, please take your time. The few residents still at the Zoo are really excited to be welcoming some new members and have passed the word on to the vacationing members. So are your Hippos, male or female because I have two rambunctious males and one very timid invisible female so need figure out the logistics. Cheers, johnw

If you're reading this and haven't heard, John ( johnw) passed away on or about 2-10-19. He will certainly be missed.
