A FRB was mailed to me from Michigan on 11/10. When I checked tracking it said delivery was to be on 11/16. Since I can mail/receive FRB's to California and they come in 2-3 days, I found this strange.
When I checked again yesterday, it said the package was in Wisconsin, en route to my PO, from Regional facility an hour away. Since the USPS is observing today as Veterans Day, there will be no mail delivery. Am guessing the package will be delivered tomorrow.
Due to work schedule and mail delivery times, I need to pre-authorize any packages to be left in my "safe place".
Has anyone else had a strange deliver time appear in tracking? Thanks.

USPS tracking used to be totally ineffective. As in there were notices when the package was scheduled for pick up and delivered. While it has improved a lot, it still has hiccups, especially with things like holidays.

Yes. Package from Oakland (about 40 minutes away), was supposedly sent to Fresno. Odd. Was due Friday. USPS says they are having technical difficulties. True!
Maybe get package today 👍🏻 USPS usually reliable.

USPS has been delivering packages on Sun for awhile now- not envelopes, only packages.

I do not have any Sunday deliveries here. Interesting. Maybe due to rural area.

I should add that there have been computer troubles with Kaiser, USPS, my computer and others since last week.

Maybe get package today 👍🏻 Today is a postal holiday, so perhaps tomorrow. The holiday weekend may be part of the problem - I suspect people take off at the Post Office around that time just like employees do for other businesses to squeeze in an extra-long weekend or vacation. The only times I can recall having delivery difficulties recently have been when a temp carrier has taken over my route due to the regular carrier's illness or other emergency. The regular subs usually seem to do fine on vacations and such, but when someone unforeseen takes over are when misdeliveries and bad scans seem to happen.

PACKAGE (Jeff Fulkerson's spinner bangle tool) was originally scheduled for Friday. No updates. Today's update says will be delivered tomorrow. At about the same time I ordered the spinner bangle tool, I ordered a metal swage block from eBay. They said it would get here Tuesday. It came the next day! Never can tell! My experience with the regular carrier and the subs is about the same as yours. Mostly very good.

Package arrived yesterday, 3 days earlier than originally estimated by USPS. Never had that happen before. Later, yes, but not earlier.
