So i started laser engraving stones mostly for folks that have pets of various types. I use the actual footprint and photo of whatever animal it be.
Also engraved the agate for someone.

I take it computer does most of the work. And just about anything could be input. A couple of questions. Final polish before it after. And how much did it cost if you care to share.

Yes the laser reads in black and white so anything is theoretically possible... But prepping photos for engraving takes a long time. Took me 4 ish hours of work for the dog to make it good for the laser and a bit over an hour for engraving. As for cost to buy the laser like mine it costs 4k. Every 500 ish laser hours one needs to replace the CO glass tube which costs over 1k.

I was afraid it would be up around that costs, on the other hand it is relatively cheap, if business as opposed to hobby. and having a laser that can cut patterns into rock... 40 years ago that was scifi

Mass produced I can come down. Engraving the bible verses which I'm making 250 to start with at 3 ea for a friend getting married

If you would like an engraving if the footprint / face of your pet be it dog, horse, cow, cat, bison, rhino, or elephant let me know. I have a list building.
If you work for a zoo share this with them as these make great exhibit displays.
Also if you would share with any friends that have pets.
Thanks
