Not in rock, but shells. I had an opportunity a while back to observe some really skilled folks make shapes and pictures out of common shell materials. I did not craft these images, but want to share with the RTH membership what I saw. They are quite remarkable when you think how fragile shell material is. Here are a few.  Even the "eye" is made from a small shell.  
Can you see the butterfly?  Here is the complete image.  Pretty neat, huh? ......I would never have the skill or patience to do this.  Cheers, johnw |

Thanks Pat.........the carvers ability to carve shells is beyond a doubt amazing. I will post a few more over the next few weeks. BTW, at the bottom of you comment above, there is a piece of pie. Did it come from The Big Crazy's Pastry Shop, just curious?  Cheers, johnw Follow up.
