Thanks for posting this Interesting beautiful material. It's amazing that all that outcrop just sitting there waiting for someone to claim it. After reading I went to the site did a little looking. Interesting story behind the feather ridge plume as well. But more interesting was the Lahonton berracia jasper. I think I have couple pieces of it I found in an old collection. The picture in the article looks identical to what I have. That photo was the first I seen of it.not much on the web of Lahonton jasper with them colors and quality. I will try to find it so I can post a picture.

There is tons of jasper, and some agate around Lahontan. Most of it single color such as all green or all butterscotch in the jaspers. A lot of it has a natural high polish though. Had to really hold on to them when washing them because they were so slick.
