Hello fellow rock people, New here from just outside of Denver, Colorado, in a little town called Franktown. I have always been interested in rocks, stones and minerals, going way back to a family trip to Leadville Colorado, and taking a tour of H.A.W. Tabors silver mine, when I was around 7. Taking family drives up in the mountains, I can still remember my first introduction to Central City, Blackhawk and the ghost town of Nevadaville, all 3 were booming towns based on gold and silver mining in the mid 1800's. I really dove head first into slabbing, cutting and polishing cabochons, and wire wrapping, in the last few years, after my retirement from the health field. I am now trying to perfect the skill of polishing cabs, which at times seems to evade me, as I am looking for that high polish that looks wet. I have gotten that look on a few cabs, but no way am I consistent in that nice finish. Found this forum just surfing the web, and it seems that there is a TON of information for some very knowledgeable people. I am looking forward to interesting interactions, and sharing.................Thanks Scotty

Welcome from California. There are instructions for posting pictures somewhere on this forum.
If you have Photobuckekt or Flickr, you can use those --- and there are instructions here for those as well.

Nice weaves and nice stones! Great job on all of those.
I use Faststone Photo Resizer to resize all my photos. It's quick, easy and best of all, free. You can get it here:

Welcome to the forum. Those wraps are cool, lots of weaving and time in making them. I don't weave very much and don't really like it so good for you. You are lucky you are near Denver for the big show coming up. I have that on my bucket list. By the way, like the stands you used for the cabs, cool rustic look and way better than seeing the plastic or plexiglass ones in my humble opinion.
