Very cool Evan ! Hope you all are enjoying Looks like nice cool time! I went to the Phoenix Zoo This was 25 years ago It was late in the evening And I had the place to my self I was fascinated with the lions den The 2 lions were back off in the corner. Then mama lion came out right towards me Laid down on the big rock basking. Then I saw the big main get jealous / He came hulking out for the shadows/ Very menacing. He had that sideways glance staring on me. He walked up the to female. She started roar, he replied and they started wrestling quite vigorously Ha I got this shot . Then I got out of dodge That fence didn’t seem high enough mohstly

Kinda neat, you exit the bus into a chute. They put the people in a pen for once. Lol. On a deck high in the air looking down at the bears. But the bears climb th trees and look down at us haha. Free and wild bears, most are huge from overeating.

Today’s headline: Dangerous heat could hit 115. “Have you ever been to Phoenix, Arizona, in the summer? It’s about to come to you. “
Thought of you, Ed. 97 now. Inside ok. Too hot to have ice cream cone outside. Tomorrow predicted to be hotter.
GOOD NEWS: got an armload of copper tubing of various diameters today for $20!! Biggest diameter up to 1”. Good usable gauge. Good jewelry making diameters. From Nextdoor.
Stay cool or at least coolish!

Was at my dad's last night to celebrate my older (65!) sister's BD. This is what the sun looked like as it went down. My sis took the pic, as my cellphone camera was not up to the task. The fire south of Alpine is still roaring, over 8K acres last I looked. I think it is 1% contained, they said it would not be put out for several more days at the earliest, and that is being extremely optimistic. Ash is falling clear out to the coast. At my dad's house today, the marine layer is very thick, the air saturated, and a bit windy. It is almost cold! I only hope the firefighters are having these same conditions inland.

Great picture and thanks for the update. I keep hearing San Diego mentioned in the news, not that the fire is in the urban centers, though. Stay safe.
