I want to introduce you all to Daisy, a 12 week old cocker spaniel who we bought and picked up today while we were traveling to the SC coast. The toddler's first two weeks with us will be her first camping trip. It's been rough on us since our Maggie passed away this past valentines day from an illness she had been battling since the middle of last year. Daisy inherits all of Maggie's toys and her human companions. jasoninsd Rick, my heart goes out to you and your wife! I'm so sorry to hear about Maggie. I know she was truly loved! OMG! Daisy is beautiful! I know she's found a loving home with you two! She won't replace Maggie...she can't. But she can and will be willing to accept all the hugs and kisses y'all are willing to give her!

I had a little bit of time this morning before work so I decided to go down to the garage and start a cab for this month's contest. Between my Dad and my wife's Mom passing and our remodeling projects being put on hold, this is what my work area looks like. With warmer weather coming hopefully I can get this mess organized . It's been at least six months since I've cabbed I think and I'm not going to lie- the sound of the cabber running and the first touch of the stone on the wheel was pretty great...

Please tell me you have a cushion for that "seat" like object !
An hour/afternoon, etc on the wheels is always a great way to clear out your mind.
Happy cabbing indeed-the mess will wait !!

Haha, no ma'am... I have a really nice adjustable chair with wheels that my kids bought for me two Christmases ago but it has yet to see any rock dust. The one you see is something that one of them threw together years ago when he was learning welding. And good point- my mind probably needs cleared out more than the garage does! 🤣

Had to share one of our fancy pitcher flowers.
We grow a bunch of different kinds & this one is called Sarracenia leucophylla "tarnok". It's unique among these plants for having this fancy flower, but also unique that it's sterile and the only way to reproduce it is by division.

Best photo I could capture with my hand held Canon Power Shot. Held one side of my special viewing glasses against the lens for a filter. It was just a partial here on the SC coast.

Just hours after having a cornea transplant/replacement, my brother in law can see perfectly fine out of that eye. The other is next week. He's only 55 but he had cataracts really bad.

Late winter storm broke a channel marker loose and washed it ashore. Buoy, I hate when that happens. Wildflowers Daisy during the eclipse

I won't pretend...my wife does ALL the cooking at our house. I know when I come home and there's nuggets and fries for dinner, it was a long/hard day for her at work...and I make sure I say "thanks for making dinner" regardless of what it is!
