Another bumper crop coming along... Black Spanish ... 38-foot-long vine is loaded again.

So, this is what I've been having to deal with while trying to catch some blue crabs. There were three this morning and this was the biggest one at about two feet across the back. He didn't do it, but another gator ate one of those crab traps that you see dangling above the big guy. I never put myself in danger and am mostly on a fishing pier above them. The crabs were in the creek but I couldn't fish there because of these guys. Did manage to get about a dozen and a half crabs this morning. Posting this for jasoninsd because I know he would love to go crabbing with me one day.

I could be the lookout while you're setting the traps! LOL Then while we're waiting for the crabs to come crawling into the traps, we could sit around the campsite and I could watch you knap! *I had to make sure my spelling was correct on that last one...if I said I could watch you nap, that'd be creepy! LOL

LOL "Hey, I see a 5" crab". Boat ramp for size comparison. Took the photos around 7:00 this morning. There were seven of these guys waiting for me. They ate two of my three crab traps so I got out of there early. Hope they leave as I will try to crab again next month.

RickB Man... Looks to me like you've got some serious competition to get those crabs.

Looks like down below the dam below Monk's Corner on Santee-Cooper. South Santee River, two miles from the ocean. These guys move in and out of the rice fields and the river. I've seen them going across the dirt road into the tidal creek which empties into the river. Commercial crabbers are running crab pots just past the landing.

Santee-Cooper is good fishing.... rich black water, rich in nutrients. The gators are getting fat I see...
I remember them being an endangered species... now they are beaucoup.

Made some more progress with some help from my kids. I don't think you need to call Hoarders anymore. 🤣

miket, just to be clear, rocks or anything to do with rocks cannot in anyway be classified as hoarding!! Also I think there as much of the floor in your work area visible as there is in my 3 car garage!!

That leaves a lot of room for when exactly one starts on something!!
