That's a load of pet wood Mike. Yeah, probably 5 years of collecting James. Some of it given to me by one of my sons- like that big hunk in the back right corner. The young fellow can carry that chunk back to the truck ! Fine collection.

jamesp But, not as ornery as my wild hogs. My bears are OK... they are just constantly trying to get in the house. A moat surrounding the house full of snapping turtles ? Ask a Florida wild hog what he thinks about gators: Hog bones common on this desolate shore Thomas(L. George Fl.)

Brother sent me a photo he said is of a nuisance gator that had been hanging out around a swimming area of the lake here in Santee SC country. Makes my "Big Guy" look like a midget. Happy youngsters in swimming apparel.

First Spider Lily bloom of the year
They grow good in my turtle pens, obviously natural turtle poop is just the fertilizer ! That and being watered regularly.

Our snake plants are blooming on the front porch again. Every year when they bloom I think about and miss rockpickerforever as she always liked them and mentioned that hers had never bloomed - for you Jean.

Some Carnivorous(pitcher or Sarracenia) plant varieties: A favorite, a stately pure Georgia Flava: The promiscuous Georgia Flava crosses with a tall sleek dark skinned Mississippi Alata(of course it got named - Alataflava . Or perhaps the Mississippi Alata was promiscuous(or it takes two to tango . Varicose veins ?:

jamespI like your Sarracenias though they didn’t do well in my yard. Interesting and pretty! Bugs eat plants; plants eat bugs! Seems fair!

I sent some to another Californian and they baked too. You guys have some kind of radiation ! I think it is the humidity they need, everywhere they grow is HUMID X10 and hot.

jamesp we get the heat. Glad we don’t get humidity! Your photos reminded me of sunflowers. We had them years ago. Nice! I’ll try them again. They make me smile. I’ll buy one plant, and it will seed. The next year, I’ll have many.

The next year, I’ll have many. The hybridizers have created a wide variety of fancy sunflowers Pat. EBAY sellers sell seed mixes. They all get tall like 5 feet and taller. The seed package said to save the seeds too(the birds are fast to eat them !). Pat, the sunflowers are behind the three squash plants. Some are 8 feet tall. All varieties are equally tall.
