Finally finished my first batch in the vibe, thanks to some help from manofglass . They turned out really well- my poor rotary tumbles are now relegated to coarse only. Here's a pic of the group, I'll try and do some individual pics over the next day or two. Thanks for looking!

Great job! Kudos to manofglass, he is my rock tumbling mentor as well.
Did you use the grit pack that came with the TV-5?

I use my big tumbler with 3 12lb barrels for stage 1 and the 2- tv-5's for the stage 2 thru polis and 2 hour borox burnish at the end. Just tumbled about 50lbs of beach rocks. Now moving on to broken up slabs...fun fun fun
I am getting grit at kingsle north. They just have the best price when you buy a 50lb box of 46/70
Keep on rocking!

Yeah the 33b and qt66 are running nonstop, they won't be able to keep up with the vibe. I didn't do a burnish on these, maybe I will next time and see if I notice a difference...

I rinse the rocks then add 2TBSP borox then 6 spays water run 2 hours. Other people use ivory shreds and read someone else uses liquid car wax...ha, not to sure how that would turn out.
I was going to buy a qt66 until my neighbor gave me a huge old tumbler. I am running 2 TV5's, they work great, but they are loud, although the more % of ceramic media you have, the quieter it gets.

I think I'll try a burnish on the next run. I've tried both ivory shreds and borax in the rotary and I think I prefer borax. They are quite a bit louder...but that's just the sound of shiny rocks being made!
