Hey! When was the last time you checked the belt tension on your tumbler? Barrel running a little slower than normal? Maybe it's been needing an extra push to start that you've assumed is normal? Maybe not. Take a peak next clean out. Both QT12s were running... one at 27 RPM, the other at 32 RPM. Doesn't sound like much until you realize after a week that's over 50k revolutions of difference. At 27 RPM the barrel would need to run another 31 hours to make up the 50k. Swapped barrels thinking one was heaver than the other, nope. Got the belts cleaned up and everything put back together. One is running 32 RPM, other is 33 RPM, that's better.

While you are there, You should clean out the Bearing Cups. Pop the clips off the ends of the Roller Bars, then pull them out, remove the bearings, clean them out real good, put it all back together and add some oil back into the cups. maybe even add a coupla drops of oil into the motor oiling holes Then you will have a Refurbished rock tumbler. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/82835/refurbished-lortone-qt66

I usually run my tumblers for seven months, than shut them down. (For my time to do other things..) I field strip every tumbler I have, I grease, oil, change out parts, throw it back together and box them up for the next go around... Nothing like starting fresh out of the gate...

The oil and rock dust becomes a thick sludge in those bearings after a while.
