Yeah, Chrysocolla with Tenorite (syn. Melaconite) - the Tenorite was sometimes called "black copper".

This first one is from the Ray mine.
This one is from Norway, but looks more like your specimen.
The Tenorite can polish up to a high metallic luster.

Wow! That was a blast. My eBay magnets came just in time, so the kids each made a couple magnets. I was afraid they would be bored but we all had fun.
