I've complained in the past about not having anything to work on. I fixed that problem and designed more than a dozen cabs and will trim cut the preforms when it warms up.

It would when domed. I like to make flat tops with a thinner slab and this one is 1/3 inch. If can get the top and bottom square. I'll start at 325 soft. I can see saw marks. This was a thick flat top:

I did the rough grinding on 9 preforms and started on the finer grinding. I picked the ones that required the most precision first before getting fatigued. The smiley will be a flat top so I had to make the top and bottom square and I don't have a double template. On the Laguna I wanted to make a hearty kind of top. I decided to change the shape; more isn't better.

I preformed and dopped 9 which is too many. I like to finish what I start and with 9 when I finish them I'm finished/wounded/pooped.
