I found this rock here in south Texas and it looks very interesting and because it is so interesting i am perplexed as to what to do with the thing I soaked it in vinegar for a while but I ran out I am not sure I want to use anymore vinegar cause it might damage desirable portions I could attempt to slice it in half but I really don't know on what axis there are at least four things going on here, quartz, limestone, sand, and what ever this gray rock is I have thought about bringing it to work and giving it a ride on the pressure washer it is still just kind of interesting. Every time I looked at it while I was scrubbing it I saw something different, then I could't remember what it saw once I got the camera out I will probably end up lopping it apart on my saw and tumbling it in as big chunks as I can

How big is it? Generally, start facing it and plan the next cuts based on what you see.

Agree with Ali. In that first picture it looks like a troll head to me.

I see the upward facing internet troll head. Could license it and sell memes.

If that crystalline quartz vein running through it is anything like what we were finding up at Hansen Creek in WA, it does not come apart without breaking, and will just get decimated in a tumbler. I may have tossed a few test pieces in to find out. See what Iron Out would do to those crystals, maybe get some of the red off. I'm no slabber and cabber, but I'm pretty certain that quartz area will disintegrate. I agree with others here about leaving it a shelf specimen.
