I'm a car and (or) trk nut, always loved vehicles... Probably owned over 35 cars and (or) trks in my life time so far... I have only bought one new car, I usually buy used, I like tinkering with mechanics and etc... Always have. Well when we moved here to Oregon I bought an old Ford Ranger, did some mechanics on it and it treated me good (as I treated it too), for over 7 years... Finally said goodbye to the oldtimer, sold it to a buddy and I shopped for over a month to find the right trk that I would enjoy... I found it, its an older, (But newer trk) Chevy Silverado 1500... I have a litte tinkering to do with it, but I will enjoy doing it and hopefully it takes me on rockhounding journeys as my old Ranger did... Ok, out with the old...
In with the new...

That oldie looks to be in great shape!! Someone got a deal. We have an old truck, too, for making dump runs mostly. It was my SonIL's, then my grandsons, then ours, then our grandsons and now ours again.

nice. It should last many years. What year is it? It's a 2003... The dealership replaced the water pump, window regulator (RH side), tailgate assembly (latch), and a oil sensor unit...At their cost.. Plus I talked them down an extra $1200.00 .... My nabor Bob, bought my Ranger, only had the "For sale" sign on the trk for 12 hours...LOL

When someone knows a vehicle is taken care of it won't be for sale very long. Your neighbor is a wise man.
Nice looking new ride Mike. I hope it treats you as well as you plan to treat it.
BTW did you name it yet?

I want to get my 2000 Silverado repaired. All it needs is a brake line replaced.

LOL Congratulations on the new (to you) truck! We have 2003 Ford F250 FX4 (4x4) w/ V10, off-road package, the whole ball of wax. Since it is silver in color, and we used to drink Coors Light, it got named the Silver Bullet. I know, how original, right? It is the only vehicle we have ever purchased new, and probably the last. Within a short time after buying it, it had to go into the bodyshop for a minor dent (someone else caused) to be fixed. We were moving my SIL and told Progressive the loaner had to be a truck. We had use of a NEW Chevy Silverado, less than 100 miles on it! It was probably a 2003 or thereabouts. It was a nice truck, rode real smooth.

I'm the proud owner of a 2000 Silverado 1500 5.3L V8 You like it? I'm a Chevy guy and love this one - has the Vortec V8. I've had several people try to buy the motor as they put them in cars and race them. Bought it to pull the camper with about seven years ago but soon I will be looking for an upgrade. PS. Insurance company scratched their heads when I traded the 2005 Chevy Colorado truck in and got the 2000 Silverado.

He is in construction and etc, so it does fit his needs... Oh ya' it has the power with that V10!!
