My wife was a collector; cabs, slabs, magazines, cds, books and more. I don't collect, I have inventory. Recently I made a Mook cab and sold it for a very reasonable price. I have at least 10 nice Mook cabs that I made over the years and haven't even bothered to list. I haven't made a Mook cab for some time and found a slab that had potential. I posted it here and gave it a name 'in your face'. My wife said that I sold it too cheap. Possibly, but I had fun making it and don't collect.
Same kind of story with a Laguna lace. When a customer makes an order for multiple cabs, I sometimes add a free cab to the order. I have more than a 1,000 cabs that I will never list. When I give something away, I make sure it is nice, well made and the customer will like it. I gave away a Laguna that had a very interesting pattern. My wife says' "you gave that away?" My response was that it wasn't as nice as what I have listed and I have a box full that I haven't listed. If it was up to her I would keep everything.
