My Epson Printer was possessed today. It started printing a document. Then went in reverse mode and ate the document.
I tried to pull it out from where printed documents come out, bit it ripped. Then spent an hour looking through Epson support.
Then another hour on hold when calling support.
The tech told me that there is no way to access where the paper is jammed. Since the printer is under warranty, I could mail it back (at my own expense). They would then send me a new printer. They would email me a return document. I could print it! The document would need to be in the box with the printer. I asked how I was supposed to print the return document if my printer was not working. The tech said to save the emailed file to a flash drive and take to library. I reminded the tech that most libraries are closed right now, due to COVID. He laughed.
Then said he could postal mail the return document. It would take about 2 weeks! After the broken printer is received, a new one would be mailed to me, minus any ink. Total time from mailing the return document to when I would receive the new printer was 4-6 weeks.
I have never heard anything so ridiculous. I cannot take the printer back to the local store I purchased it at. Tech told me that.
So, am hoping someone can provide some advice on how I can remove the jammed paper.
Here is the model of the printer.
I can see the paper through the scanner bed. Paper is circled.
I can see some of the paper when I look down the paper feed slot.
Tried using hemostats to grab the paper, but there as not enough room to open them. Tweezers are not long enough.
There is about 4" from the top of the paper feed to where the paper is.
Please, help. I have documents that need to be completed and mailed tomorrow. Just received the documents today.
Thank you.
