i am finally making good on my threat promise to share more of the rocks i collected while Pipelining from Cotulla Texas to Ingleside-By-The-Bay Texas this first little bit will be shared from Imger but I will share more pictures later here is a preview but for more details you will have to follow these links Part 1Part BPart III
i found this cool little conglomerate I kind of want to find a way to polish it without losing the crystals on top but i will probably just tumble it eventually

The calcite crystal in the photo will likely fall off in a tumble. One thought is you could slice it for a thumbnail specimen and polish the cut. Walking Texas sounds like a great adventure.

this rock is a good example for anyone starting out, it takes a long tome to be able to judge a rock by its crust i wasn't sure about this one, but i am clad i grabbed it because once i split it It was actually very pretty. Well, more rocks to follow later

i have soo many rocks now, i have a hard time remembering which ones came from where. I go through them all and every so often I have to ask "why did i grab this?" or "Why haven't i polished this yet?" there are a few where the answer is I don;t have the skill or equipment yet

I especially like the big gold one in the center fo the first pic. Would like to see what that looks like tumbled. That one is a Pet wood of some kind i believe, i may have tumbled a piece off of it but i don't recall. I will be sure to tag you if i decide to do the whole thing
