Long hot week here. Had to work late to get a big grab n go island cooler up and running at a Kwik Trip and it was SOOO busy in there. Kinda fun to light my torch (to braze the copper and brass) and see who all jumped. All sore and bushed. Hello weekend! Not much to do this weekend just need to clean out my work truck, mow the yard, weed garden, put up a fence for the garden, fix a broken mower, finish installing my central air, maybe a grocery run. Luckily the girls cleaned up the living room today which is really nice. If you’re still reading, thanks for hanging in there! It takes me abit to get into the summer swing of things. But the OT will be a super nice feature. Have a great weekend everyone.

Haha sounds like a long day - happy weekend!

A little bird said that the abandoned, 1/2 tore up railway that goes past my house may shrink a few inches over the weekend. Fresh from my tool account. Happy weekend to me. Cuts up to 5” x 5” and comes with a “free” metal cutting circular saw.

Tommy 😆 Lots of people interested in cooling this time of year. Some of these businesses are going NUTSO. Have you tried to eat at a Chick-fil-a lately? Our local Culver’s (higher end fast food) sales were way up, even with the dining room closed all spring. Running a makeshift 2nd line with orange cones and a person to take your order. I usually braze with 15% silver/phosphorus rods. But I have some flux coated 50% silver also. hummingbirdstones. Haha you caught me. I am indeed a slacker. Wish I had more time for slackin’! (Thought you said SlackTard at first, lol)

BTW, I would NEVER call you a 'tard.

Hey, Evan, when you're done, maybe you can pop in over here. I need a few things done and DH is doing Saturdays now. You don't sound too busy.

He never really stopped working. They just had their hours cut for a few weeks. The rumor was they would have them cut more, but now there is mandatory OT. Go figure.

Tommy 😆 Lots of people interested in cooling this time of year. Just like every year ... I get motivated to get 'er done then the heat wave passes and Eva points out we need new floors worse Our house was built in 2000 and it has a central heating unit in the attic and was also plumbed and wired for AC. My grand plan is (one of these years) is to buy the condenser and coils and install myself, then call in a professional to do the plumbing. Wish I knew someone in the neighborhood who liked good beer Maybe I will by the time I get my part done...

My BIL is reroofing, residing, rewrapping, reinsulating, re- air conditioning and upgrading windows. He is SOOOOOO lucky- both of his wife's brothers are in construction. Not only are they getting it done fast, but they are saving a bundle on quality work. The house wasn't that bad off, but code was sorely lacking when it was built, so they wanted to bring it up modern standards to save on utilities.

I have a coworker who bought 2 condensers. One for upstairs and one for down. He ended up with a mini-split wall mount ac for upstairs. He gifted me the condenser and inside coil, all I have to do is tune up his dads oil furnaces a few times!

Good for him, that is nice to have friends with talents.
