That last one is amazing, Randy!
It really is amazing to see the different colors possible in these coprolites.
I have a small one in the Lot-O right now that should be ready to show by next Turd Tuesday. I actually hand sanded it up through 3000 grit and it was looking great. I also sliced up another one that shows a lot of promise. That one is too big for the Lot-O so will be entirely polished by hand. Luckily the kids have volunteered to help!

Looked like a liver pate to me when I saw it. TURD TUESDAY This one looks really different from the usual.

Sure this isn't from Michigan? It has that copper conglomerate look. It does, doesn't it. Regrettably the photo quality does not do it justice because it has really cool zones of translucency where you can see down into the material and it's quite beautiful. I really need to start using a good camera to share these because they are so much better than my mediocre photography shows.

Looked like a liver pate to me when I saw it. I thought it would be interesting to show it after the previous turd because of the wide contrast between the two.

Here's the largest coprolite I ever found. Paleontologists from the University of Moab said the top part is evidence of a mighty pinching effort of the giant dungosaurus that left it. I had a tough time fitting the specimen in my display case. Happy April Fools day!

RWA3006 This photo reminds me of the movie "Close Encounters of the Turd Kind".

That's a really pretty POS, Randy! The photos don't do any of these justice.

That is one pretty turd! I love the red and translucent areas on that one.

Great pictures, Randy!
I had a good laugh after reading that you were coprolite hunting and then seeing the picture of your wife waist deep in that rock. With the mind already on poo, I couldn’t help but think she really stepped in it!

The part I like best about coprolite collecting is getting out into the middle of nowhere. Scenes like this are commonplace and never cease to stop me in my tracks to contemplate the expanse of the earth and time and my place in the universe. It's the closest thing I've experienced in actually touching eternity with my finger.

That is some gorgeous scenery, Randy! It's humbling to be standing in a landscape like that. You've got me itching to take a trip back that direction.

Thank you for that Randy!

Wow Win! Those are gorgeous! Those red spots are fantastic, but I also like the one to the left with the white swirls.
