I bought a 4 ounce piece of Nellite rough from Blairrocks. It was $4 so I added it to my order with flat rate shipping. Nellite, also known as the Honey Stone, is a Quartz silicate that crystallizes in the form of masses. It occurs when Golden and/or Blue Tiger Eye meet with Pietersite.I decided to flatten a side with the wheels and flat lap, so I could glue it to a board to slab. I spent about 15 minutes to grind and polish it to see if it was worth working. I'll cut a few small slabs. I have no idea about orientation for making a cab and picked the largest flattest surface to grind.

I slabbed it and got two pieces. The one of the left was face polished.

No chatoyancy and less of a polish than I expected. Somewhat soft material.

That cab turned out great. I like the color pattern.
