In honor of our feline family members, please post a photo and a little about them.
This is Sabby, AKA Black Sabbath. A good friend found him in her yard, with a hanging jaw. She took him to the vet to have jaw surgery and be fixed. Her cats started picking on him, so she asked me to take him. This was in 2005. Over 15 years later, he is still a family member.

I have 2 cats- Cat and Sid Vicious. But, I have had many more through the years; Jasmine, Baron, Wombat, Buddy, Funnyface, Snowball and others.
Cat was a stray who adopted us. He is the sweetest most people friendly cat I have ever had. He is an old soul and knows lots of commands (really). Sid Vicious, on the other hand, is a scamp. She has a nasty disposition, but, for some reason, she is endearing. She's the orange tabby. She was a stray, too. She is much bigger now. She grew out of my genie.
I wouldn't say I am a cat person. I love dogs equally, but I don't have a yard for dogs, so cats for me.

Three cats and the dog, here.
So funny, Tela, you've seen pictures of Scott (the black and white rock cat), but we also have an orange cat that looks just like yours, too.
His name is Carl.

Annabelle thinks every day is National Cat Day. She is the sweetest, friendliest cat we have ever had. Excellent hunter. We get first choice on all the lizards and birds. Cats are good people!

She looks like she should be getting fanned with palm fronds and being hand fed grapes one at a time.
True story. Years ago, I had bilateral TMJ jaw surgery. As I stretched out on the couch, the kids brought me grapes. Alas! Weak and swollen jaw. I could not chew them--- so they peeled them for me. Lol! That worked!
Wish I had a photo. Not sure cellphones had been invented yet.

We have three Maine coons. The oldest gomes in at 29 lbs, the female is only 8 or so, and the young one tips the scales at 34 pounds.
Good grief Bob, those varmints are big enough to drag you under the bed and gnaw your bones.

The one holds the record for the biggest cat at our Vet's.
No mention of the wood?
haha, Those chunks of wood laying around did not stand a chance of escaping my notice. Your place must look like a pet wood museum. Pretty impressive.

woodman I have been wanting a Maine Coon since before they were recognized. My Mom grew up with them in Maine (actually, she grew up in the area where they are said to have been bred originally) and talked about the Coon cats all the time when I was kid. I saw many when we visited there. My husband, on the other hand, wants a Norwegian Forest Cat. But, I think that's just a joke. Anyway, I do want to own a Coon cat one day.
Your fur babies are beautiful. I'm sure you get a lot of joy from them.

I do like the Norwegian Forest Cats also. If I was younger I would get one. The 29 pound one is my wife's alarm clock. He makes sure she gets up. Hope he resets his clock tonite!

Tela, you just get both! Problem solved.
We have 3; Otto is a big orange "wannabe dog", a gray shorthair named Ned (the "true" cat) and a little black shorthaired rascal named Wayne.
Though I've always called myself a dog lover, Wayne has made me rethink my loyalties.

woodman. True story. About five years ago—-when Annabelle was three years old and five pounds (she’s 5.5 lbs now), we needed a new fence in the back yard. After old fence torn down, we met that neighbor. We asked if she had a dog or cat who might cause our little cat trouble.
She said yes, they have two Maine coons!! I had never seen them. Neighbor says Annabelle comes into their yard and chases her two Maine coons into their house!! I quit worrying about our tough little cat.

rocknrob: There was a shop in Portland, don't know if it's still there called Kenny and Zukes who made the absolute best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had. The problem is every restaurant thinks their sandwich is worth $20 now and seldom makes the grade.

rocknrob: So, to end my thread on sandwiches. If you find your sandwich worthy of that price by all means keep going to that restaurant
