Yep I just made a $12 profit off rocks I picked up while camping, it was supposed to be $15 but free shipping got to me more than I thought. But $12 for just picking them up and cleaning them which cost me about a buck. I'm good with that.

Yep I just made a $12 profit off rocks I picked up while camping, it was supposed to be $15 but free shipping got to me more than I thought. But $12 for just picking them up and cleaning them which cost me about a buck. I'm good with that. This is not a story to "one up" you on the dollar amount...just sharing what can come of picking up a rock... My father-in-law called me tonight and told me there was a guy working the cattle fence a couple years ago around the area we were looking for Fairburn Agates recently. He looked down by the fencepost and saw a "pretty colorful" rock. He had no idea. He threw it in his coat pocket and didn't really think anything of it. He happened to stop at a rock show awhile later (weeks) and thought he'd have someone take a look at it. He found two guys sitting down and approached them and asked if they might know the value of his "pretty rock". They agreed to look at it, so he handed it to one of them. The other guy looked at the guy with the rock and told him you better be honest with him. The guy with the rock said "I'll offer you $1000 for it." The fence guy looked at the other one sitting there and he also agreed that $1000 was what he would have offered as well. So he sold it then and there. I wish I knew 100% if this was a true story or not, but my gut tells me it is. I know what I've been offered for one of my Fairburns... I guess my point was this guy made $1k just for leaning over and picking up a rock...not a bad "days work"! I'm hoping for the same type of luck for you guys with your Etsy shop!
