I'll be extremely happy not seeing all those damn commercials for a while.

The commercials aren't endless...they're over tomorrow. As far as the BS being endless...well...it's politics - so either way it goes, it will likely be "endless"!

Huh you Mericans, here in Australia it's been endless US election stuff on the news too. It's not "us" Americans...it's just two Americans responsible for taking the place of your usual Vegemite commercials! LOL (Oh wait...you said news, not commercials. LOL)

Not just here on Aussie news, but I've seen a few Aussie youtubers having their say about US politics. I think they should stick to what they are good at. What ever the outcome I hope everything go smoothly & peacefully. Doesn't matter about Vegemite. I don't really like it.

All the trees will also breathe a sigh of relief. We've been getting multiple copies of every flyer. In the meantime, here is a nice non-partisan, yet patriotic (red, white and blue) Thunderegg. Richardson's Blue Bed A by Stephan T., on Flickr Vote, if you haven't

I suppose the next thing to contend with will be PEACEFUL demonstrations in the suburbs by the BLM crowd or whoever has taken the movement over now ! Don't believe that BS will work out well for them here in the mid west !

For the last few days I've been afflicted by an ear worm; Ding Dong the Witch is dead.

The two "protests" organized in our town by some very liberal **** from halfway across the state were too. It was more like a cheer squad with signs.
Most people haven't experienced that apparently.
We as a community are very friendly and accepting of other's opinions/actions/heritage around here. As long as they don't start fires, loot, destroy... we're good.
If they do try to damage our community, they face some really harsh penalties. Tar and feathers, fire bath, lead poisoning, etc, etc lol

The Union Bank in La Mesa, CA, was burnt to the ground by those "peaceful protestors" on 5/31/20 EDIT 5/30/20, and other stores looted. I just heard on the local news today (yeah, I watch them on occasion) that they just made two arrests in connection with that. Yay! ETA - Some stores are already boarding up, "just in case," ahead of those peaceful protests.

Yeah the rioting BS is kind of out of control with some of these events. Well, any that feature rioting, etc.
Hope the bankers can recover. Lol

Both the Union Bank and the Chase Bank next door to it were burnt down. Both are my banks. I've heard UB plans to rebuild, the Chase has said they will not be rebuilding.

I live in a bubble; few African American residents (.5 percent), well educated, affluent and liberal. Many people don't know the difference between white privilege and white guilt. Except teenagers, there is no racism. One of the funniest sights was during the Iraq war where there were simultaneous pro war and anti war demonstrations occurring at the same time with no conflict between groups.
